Vintage 2022

Another surprising season, tagged by a dry spring and a scorching summer. This suggested that the wines would be ‘sun-kissed’, with a rather rich and opulent style… but the result was quite different! And thanks to the water supply from stormy rains in June and August, the vines resisted the heat and the drought. After all, the harvest was well balanced.

The white wines offer ripe yellow fruit aromas. And on the palate, the richness and volume are well supported by freshness and minerality. The aromatic power of these wines makes them pleasant to drink now, and they will gain in finesse after time in bottle.

Vintage 2021

The severe frost in April had a serious impact on the harvest potential. Then, the season alternated between hot and humid weather, which was conducive to the development of disease in the vineyards…

Fortunately, September was auspicious, allowing the grapes to ripen in excellent conditions.

As a result, the white wines offer lovely aromas of fresh fruit and pleasant floral notes. On the palate, density and roundness are underpinned by the finesse and tension that characterize this vintage.

These are wines that can be enjoyed in a few months’ time to benefit from their aromatic freshness, but which will much benefit from being “forgotten” in the cellar.

The work put in throughout this “chaotic” season has enabled our Pinot Noir to reach maturity. Our red wines are fresh and fine, with intense red fruit aromas. On the palate, the acidity characteristic of this late vintage balances well the richness and natural concentration of this small crop. These are wines that are already pleasant on the palate, but that can wait a few years in the cellar too.

Vintage 2020

Our Pinot Noir grapes were strongly affected by the summer drought, hence the atypical character of our wines for this vintage.

First of all, the colour is much deeper and darker than usual. Then, on the nose, the aromas are concentrated and powerful: ripe red fruit, a little black fruit, spicy notes… On the palate, we get back to more typical Pinot Noir character. The attack is dense and deep, but the balance remains fresh and elegant. Each of our terroirs has retained its own identity.

These wines have evolved a great deal since they were bottled. You can enjoy them now, out of curiosity, to benefit from their power and richness. But these wines, will definitely benefit from some time in the cellar to gain in elegance and roundness…

With the white wines of this vintage, we find wines that are more typical of our terroirs. Admittedly, the vines suffered from the hot, dry summer, but the weeks leading up to the harvest were beneficial to the grapes. On the nose, the wines are fresh, aromatic and very expressive. On the palate, the volume and generosity of the attack are underlined by the minerality of our hillsides. Aromas of fresh white fruit and the floral notes highlight the gourmet side of this vintage.
